Implant handpieces are essential tools in modern implant dentistry, enabling dentists to perform precise and successful implant placements. Their design features, including high torque, low speed, irrigation systems, and compatibility with various implant systems, contribute to efficient and safe implant surgeries.
Bone Preparation: In order to produce a socket or hole for the dental implant, the jawbone must first be prepped. To prepare the jawbone for implant insertion, the handpiece is utilized to drill into the jawbone. The pace, torque, and depth of the drilling procedure can all be managed by the dentist or oral surgeon using the handpiece.
Osteotomy: Osteotomy is the surgical procedure used to precisely carve or groove a bone. An osteotomy is carried out during dental implant surgery to reshape the bone to suit the implant. By drilling into the bone at the proper size and depth with the dental implant handpiece, the osteotomy is created.
Implant placement: After the bone has been cleaned and prepped, the implant is inserted into the prepared socket using a dental implant handpiece. The implant can be placed accurately and under control using components or attachments on the handpiece.
Bone grafting: Before placing an implant, it may occasionally be necessary to add bone to the area that already exists. The bone graft material can be prepared and molded to fit the bone defect using the dental implant handpiece. This guarantees the graft's correct fit and stability.
